An Evening With...

At first sight, the Big Band Jazz Maresme and The Hanfris Quartet are two very different groups, but they have a lot in common: both were born in Mataró (Barcelona), and both specialise in styles with deep roots in North America.

The Big Band Jazz Maresme has been playing for more than ten years: 17 musicians with a very wide repertoire, and a staging and sound that take you straight to mid-20th-century New Orleans.

The Hanfris Quartet is a male a cappella group specialising in barbershop, a style born in the barbershops of the United States, although they also sing doo-wop, close harmony, spirituals and classical music, among others.

With staging that recalls the great American musical shows, the two groups join forces in a varied and surprising programme, in which the audience can enjoy them together and on their own.
