Barbershow

The Hanfris Quartet presents its new show, BARBERSHOW: 75 minutes of the sheer sound of barbershop music, combining the energy of jazz, the drive of rock & roll and the magic of American musicals.

It follows the formula that has served the quartet so well over its 16 years on stage: songs woven together with theatrical moments that draw the audience in, plenty of humour and a little teaching along the way, to keep spreading the word about barbershop, a style they pioneered at home.

BARBERSHOW is a journey in sound that builds into a powerful live show: a cappella versions of the most international American music —jazz, pop, rock & roll, country, film soundtracks and Disney— but also songs from closer to home, such as havaneres and Catalan rumba, and a few more surprises.

In short, a new chance to enjoy a cappella singing with all the technical and interpretive richness of barbershop, combined with fresh, funny staging and the elegance and cheeky touch that define the quartet.
